Poll: What Kinds Of Gun Reform Are YOU For?
You might be surprised to learn that many gun-rights advocates are open to gun reform and changes in legislation to prevent misuse of firearms and mass shootings like those that happened in Orlando, Las Vegas, Parkland, and so many others. But, there’s a huge divide that’s fueled by a general misunderstanding of the types of changes the majority are pushing for. The options in the poll below come from legislation either in progress or that has already passed in some states.
Here at NIOF, we want to do our part to help promote intelligent discussion on the topic of legislative reform of the second amendment. That’s why we created this poll: to help us share what kinds of change you’re hoping to see as we move towards a safer United States, and to let us know what “common sense gun reform” means to you – plus, we’d love to hear more about your thoughts in our chatroom! Stop by and join the discussion happening now!

Your poll won’t let me choose the correct answer on the second question. Assult is a verb so any tool I use to preform the action of Assulting someone could wear the title. Second, the correct answer isn’t available for the first question. The correct answer is to remove any law infringing on the second amendment.
All federal gun control laws are unconstitutional, because they are all infringements on the right to keep and bear arms. Also, the right to keep handguns in the home for self-defense has been “incorporated.” Therefore, any state law which infringes that right is also unconstitutional. I advocate repealing all unconstitutional laws.
I am for letting mentally stable non-felons native-born Americans having full auto weapons and silencers. I am for schools having shooting teams again. I am for universal Constitutional carry. I am for FREEDOM. FREEDOMS like these ALWAYS and invariably make life better for everyone except the evil people. The mere awareness that anyone and everyone may well be prepared to stop every evil act will make those with evil plans find a better use of their time. This isn’t speculation this is proved. The problem with those who oppose this is summed up here; “Liberalism is predicated on two things:
The denial or ignorance of history, and
the denial or ignorance of human nature.” (JMG)
Human nature is fixed. There will always be those who have no morals and no scruples. More importantly, those who appear to have morals and scruples will be shown to have little or none if things go very badly for them. The fact that all around them are prepared to enforce decent behavior is infinitely more reliable than expecting someone who is slipping off the edge to do so. There is simply no logical place left for those who wish to impose any form of gun control on sane non-criminal citizens. The proof that it is a good idea that is working almost perfectly is abundant and indisputable without deceptive twisting of data and cherry picking. Even the emotionally-led opposition knows this else they would not be using an appeal to emotion as their primary, and almost singular, argument.
I strongly support a national reciprocity for concealed carry permits.
Punish the criminals and gun violators not the law abiding citizens, we are not criminals just because you change the laws to make us look like one
Repeal the NFA, let’s start there and see how that goes.
We really have enough laws on the books now and let’s not forget that criminals do not follow laws so what’s the point of creating new ones?
What part of “shall not be infringed” don’t lawmakers and judges not understand?
The second amendment just as it is written and as it was originally intended. Get rid of all the infringments.
All these other things are just ploys to slowly take away your right.
No Reforms are needed, other than to obey THE CONSTITUTION as it is Written! Gun reform is for those who prefer to be slaves.
The response to the first question that indicated allowing teachers to carry is one i disagree with. Teachers have a lot to deal with in the classroom.
Armed guards to me are the correct answer.
