Breaking News: Maryland High School on Lockdown after Shooting Inside
Breaking news this morning coming out of Maryland – a reported school shooting at Great Mills High School. The event has been contained, though the school is on lockdown, according to the Sheriff’s office. They are directing parents not to go to the school at this time since the school is still on lockdown.
A spokesman for the FBI’s Baltimore field office said their agents are on the scene with special agents from the ATF’s Baltimore office en route. Police are going through classrooms to clear the school and escort students out.
CNN reported that Jonathan Freese, a student at Great Mills, was …”still a little shaken up.” While schools around the country are participating in drills for situations like this, he continued stating “I did’t really expect for this to happen. I do always feel safe, though, because they always have police at the school.”
At least three people are reported injured Tuesday morning according to police. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said the three victims were taken to the hospital but it was not clear how they were injured or the extend of their injuries. No fatalities immediately reported. The Associated Press reported that one of the three injured is the shooter, though the shooter’s identity is also not immediately available.

Less than a WEEK ago Great Mills High School students walked out with us to protest gun violence…now they’re experiencing it for themselves. The state of our country is disgusting – I’m so sorry, Great Mills.

The Austin package bomber now strikes for a fifth time—the latest at a FedEx facility. Meanwhile there’s a shooting at Great Mills High School in Maryland. Our nation is in the throes of domestic terror and gun violence while our Congress fails to act and our President is insane.
